Outdoor Mexican Fiesta 101

Today I am showing you how you can recreate this Mexican Theme Fiesta, perfect for outdoor picnics and Cinco De Mayo celebrations. This cheerful, unique color palette will have your guest in awe! This traditional Mexican holiday can be accompanied with great friends, fun games, colorful desserts and Tequila! I will be adding a shopping list down below so you can pull this off! This design is truly timeless and can be used for many years to come, I styled this shoot in May 2017 and I am still obsessed! It’s in the details

Having fun is key, so let your creativity spark and get as crafty as possible, As seen in the images above, the pots were handpainted using alcrylic paint and then I added pinto beans to really make a statement. You can do any plant you’d like but Nopales (cactus) are true to the mexican culture.

Styling Tips

THE MAIN TABLE: The first thing we started out with was the main table. I usually like to start with the table and continue to add on to it. This cool table is handcrafted in Phoenix, Az by Martha Valdovinos husband, Martha is the owner of @marthavaldovinosh&m .
Accent Chairs: Next you will choose the chairs you want to add to the design. You can go simple or mix and match. You can even do wicker ones!
Table Escape: Now let’s talk about what’s on the table! You can add a cool mexican runner ( ill link down below) or you can do one made from organic material.
Accent Pieces: For the accent pieces I used the flower pots that were mentioned above, along with a mini bird cage I found thrifting and these cool colorful glass vassels we added single stems too.
Food: I love styling with food so I went all in with fun Mexican Candy and Mexican Soda Pops. You can also make fun cocktail drinks like the picture added below. The rippled glasses can be purchased at our shop and will also link down below !

Floral Crowns from Tissue Paper

6. Floral Crowns: These beautiful crowns were handmade with tissue paper, wire and green tape that is used for making arrangments. I will link down below something pretty like this that is already made!

7. Games: We brought out the Loteria and had such a great time!!!

Fresh Flowers and a Bike for a Prop

We added in a really cool vintage bike and fresh flowers to make this a cute but simple photo booth! You can add something like this or even a boho wicker chair with florals to make a cute photo booth.
